Many California girls are hoping to be selected, along with contestants from Minnesota, Michigan, Massachusetts, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and Maryland.

Selected based on their essays, photographs, on-line Facebook Fan voting and judging from our panel of highly esteemed judges in the media and beauty profession,  they radiate true beauty in every way.  Judges include Olivia Longott, R & B Singer and Reality TV Star of VH1′ Love & Hip Hop,  Frank Guyton, Celebrity Make-up Artist and Black Opal Artistic Director, (pictured here),  Eric Bland, Celebrity Hair Stylist, Noella Coursaris, international model, humanitarian, philanthropist, and founder of  the Georges Malaika  Foundation, Paula Renfroe, Editor in Chief of Juicy Magazine, and Andre Austin, celebrity fashion stylist.

Entering the Black Opal True Beauty Model Search is your chance to realize that dream.

But you have to hurry….and do it now.  Deadline for all entries is April 2, 2012..so now is the time to act.

If you’re  the Grand Prize Winner will enjoy a red carpet experience, including an all-expense trip to NYC, a star role in a model’s cover shoot with the beauty and fashion industry’s A-list makeup artists, hair and fashion stylists, and photographers, exposure to the beauty and broadcast media, your face featured in  Black Opal’s marketing materials, an award of $10,000 scholarship (payable to your school),  and national recognition.

Brookell Barber, featured here, is the 2011 Grand Prize winner.   Featured in a photo shoot, her image has appeared everywhere, including a billboard in New York City’s Times Square, seen by millions.   She was featured on a leading morning show and a holiday eye palette, Brookell’s Silver Platter, was named in her honor beyond the other perks the Grand Prize winner enjoys.

But, there’s more than ONE winner.

Ten runner-ups,  some whom may be featured in Black Opal’s promotional materials, will be awarded a $2,000 scholarship (payable directly to a school of their choice) and be featured as True Beauty winners.

Everyone is eligible to enter True Beauty Model Search on line at www.blackopalbeauty.com or via the Black Opal Beauty Facebook page.  Entrants must be legal residents of the US, at least eighteen years of age, and complete a required entry form, define what True Beauty Is, strike a pose and upload three recent photos.
