Why should I use Black Opal products?
Frank Guyton: Black Opal makeup has been formulated to address the needs and concerns of darker skin tones. African–American women are not the only ones that can benefit from Black Opal makeup. All women of color, be they African, Caribbean, Asian or Hispanic, will find shades that complement their skin tones.

I want to buy Black Opal products but I don’t know my shade. Can you help?
Frank Guyton: The best way to determine your shade is to use Black Opal’s “Find Your Shade” foundation matching tool. Find the 2 shades closest to your complexion. You will be able to add 2 FREE samples of your chosen foundation shades to your shopping cart with any order. Once you have tried on the shades and found a match, please visit the “Find Your Match” results page for your shade to see a list of powders and concealers that complement your foundation shade.

How often should I replace my makeup?
Frank Guyton: I recommend replacing mascara every 4-6 months. You can replace other cosmetic products like foundations, concealers, blush, lipstick and lip glosses, every 12 months.

Is it OK to sleep with makeup on?
Frank Guyton: Absolutely not! Makeup left on overnight can irritate skin, clog pores and cause breakouts. Always thoroughly cleanse your skin to remove makeup and any other impurities that may have accumulated during the day.
